What tasks has set itself a professional tester?

Some time ago, we found out that testers have a lot of opportunities for improvement. Today a professional tester can not afford to blindly follow the test plan which was written in the early stages of the project. It is inappropriate and it is not interesting to test using test cases that cover all stated requirements. Obviously, professional test engineers take responsibility for the interpretation of the requirements and approach their tasks in different ways. Moreover, the same problem can be solved by different decisions and we can find different errors.

To learn how to work well with this approach, you need to learn different techniques to solve problems and puzzles for testers. That is what we are going to do in my master class. I'll show you the new challenges of the ISTQB advanced level courses. And for dessert, we consider open questions-essay of the most difficult exams Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE)

Fill up the arsenal of the tester. Learning to use new test techniques

Test engineers have many opportunities to develop their professional skills. Books, certifications, conferences, blogs. Everywhere you can find new approaches, technologies and useful ideas test for testing. Unfortunately many testers do not use these resources. Some people just too lazy or they do not understand why they need it. Others were stuck in their projects and they believe that it is impossible to improve the quality in the project. However, it is not correct. It is impossible to find all bugs in your software. Therefore you can always come up with a new approach, applying a different test design technique and analyze new metrics. In my course I will tell which results in my project do we have after such changes. I'll cover the test design technique from the course exam preparation ISTQB® Certified Tester, Advanced Level Test Analyst and Technical Test Analyst. We will learn to solve practical problems and I will show you that new knowledge and new skills are very useful.

What awaits testers during the organization of the testing process from scratch in the Enterprise-products

Most testers are faced with the fact that they need as soon as possible to start the process of testing a completely new project. It would seem that this is a typical problem, and the dream of any tester, but many experienced testers faced with unexpected, serious difficulties. It is difficult to make the correct estimates, to determine the entry and exit criteria for testing. Creation of test cases based on the raw documents and without a prototype system is much more difficult than the test cases design for the new functionality in existing products. When we test a new system each test step could find a new critical defect. Developers bent on line defects, testers spend more time verifying bugs than run new tests. All this activities requires an enormous amount of time and the customer often does not give it because he wants all at once, and many in the very near future. In my report, I will talk about how we overcome these and other challenges in our company.
